Errands Don't Go As Planned

It's late and I'm tired. I almost went to bed without writing but I jumped on to say a few words since I haven't said any to you since Thursday. First of all, I had a headache last night so I took my good drugs while I was watching Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. In case you don't remember, these drugs give me tired-head and make me loopy. I was so out of it when I went to bed that I thought I had taken my sleeping pill and in reality, I hadn't. So, imagine my chagrin when I woke up in the middle of the night feeling like I was ready to run a marathon and realizing it was still the middle of the night. Only, it was too late to take my sleeping pill because I was afraid I'd sleep too late and I had a butt load of things to do (get eyeglasses rx for Lexy, get glasses for Lexy, go to AT&T store to get her cell phone fixed or replaced, get a library card and go see Casey) today and the plan was to start early and finish early. Not so much. I slept til almost 10 and didn't leave the house until about 11:30 or so. I had to go to the eye doctor to get my daughter's prescription. She had her eyes checked recently and the doctor said the rx was pretty light so she didn't send it with us. She said if she started to get headaches or anything to go in and pick it up. She's been doing summer reading for school and has been getting headaches everyday. So, we went to get her rx. Unfortunately, the doctor hadn't written an actual rx that I could take right away. We had to wait so that she could write it out for us. The lady at the counter said she could call me when it was ready. So, after about an hour of hanging out in Walmart (with no money) we went back. I sat in the waiting area and kept trying to make comments about it taking so long and how we wouldn't have time to finish our errands, etc, etc. Finally, the girl behind the counter cornered the dr. and told her what we needed and the dr. scribbled her initials on an rx pad and said to just write it out. That's why she had it in the folder. So, after waiting an hour and a half, we finally headed over to Eyemasters to pick out some glasses. We spent a while in there but they didn't have the frames my daughter had picked out before and she really wanted to go to the mall to see if they still had them. It was after 2, I was starving and totally not about to fight the mall on tax-free weekend on an empty stomach. So, we headed home and I had some lunch. Then we went to see Casey. He was a crazy little man today. He had to have a blood transfusion yesterday but he was doing really well today. Still not eating much at all but playing hard. He kicked everyone's butt at Monopoly again. We always have the best time playing that. Although, I don't play as a character, I'm always just the banker. And so not a very good one at that. I think I get too distracted with the maniacal children and their hilarity to be able to run my bank properly. Oh well. Chris keeps me in check and everything turns out ok. We stayed late and Lexy gave him a bath, brushed his teeth and put on his jammies. When we got home we were starving. We ate, watched Psych and now I'm writing to you. I didn't have time to get in a work out so that means I HAVE to do it tomorrow.
